Our Mortgages

Mortgages built around our members

Our mortgages, simply explained

At the moment, we offer variable rate mortgages. These include mortgages for people buying through Shared Equity and LIFT schemes.

If you’re not sure what a variable rate mortgage means, or whether it’s right for you, that’s something we can talk through.

A member’s mortgage experience

Sharon arranged her mortgage with us at a time when interest rates were rising quickly. In this video, she talks about how valuable it was to have someone she could speak to and how supported she felt throughout the process.

She shares how there was no pressure to take a particular product, and how the focus was on finding what was right for her circumstances. She also reflects on the importance of having clear explanations and real conversations when making a significant financial decision.

Talk it through first

You don’t need to know everything about mortgages before you get in touch. Most people don’t, and that’s fine.

Our mortgage adviser is here to listen, answer questions, and explain things clearly. There’s no charge and no pressure to go ahead. If now isn’t the right time, we’ll say so.

Why members choose us

We’re a credit union, so we work a bit differently from banks.

  • We’re owned by our members

  • Mortgage decisions are made here, not by an automated system

  • We consider your full circumstances as part of our assessment process.

  • We focus on affordability over the long term

Our aim isn’t to rush you into a mortgage. It’s to help you make a decision you’re comfortable with.
