What can I use this finance for?
You can use golf membership finance to cover your annual golf club membership fee. This includes your main membership cost, locker rental, and other associated fees your club charges as part of joining. The funds are used to pay your club membership fee.
Which clubs are eligible?
This product is available to golfers across the UK, regardless of which club you play at. There is no approved club list to check. As long as you meet our standard eligibility criteria, you can apply to finance your membership at any golf club in the UK. If you have a specific question, please contact us.
How long does approval take?
If all required documents are submitted promptly, your loan can be approved and the funds released as soon as the next working day. We review every application personally, so the more complete your information, the faster we can move.
What information will I need to provide?
When applying, you may need to provide proof of identity for ID checks, details of your bank accounts (providing only a single account showing income may limit our assessment), and any additional documents requested by Capital Credit Union.
How do the funds get used?
Once your loan is approved, the funds are used to pay your golf club membership fee. You then repay Capital Credit Union in fixed monthly instalments over your chosen term.
Can I repay early?
Yes. You can repay your loan in full at any time with no early repayment penalty. You can also make additional payments to reduce your balance at any time, at no extra cost.
Does the loan come with protection insurance?
Yes. When you take out a loan with Capital Credit Union, it is covered by our Loan Protection Insurance for loan amounts up to £20,000. In the event of your death, any outstanding loan balance may be cleared, ensuring your loved ones are not left with the debt. Members are covered up until their 70th birthday. T&Cs apply.
What happens if I cannot keep up repayments?
If you are struggling to make repayments, please contact Capital Credit Union as soon as possible. We will work with you to explore possible solutions. Please be aware that missed payments must be reported to credit reference agencies, which may affect your credit rating. Missing payments will also increase the total amount you repay.
